NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 22-year-old man faces charges after crashing a car into the second floor of a Long Island home, police said Wednesday.

Officials said Jose Argueta Garcia crashed his silver 2002 Honda sedan into a house in Yahpank just after 8 a.m.

The vehicle landed upside-down near the house’s front door, according to authorities.

A woman who was inside the home at the time of the collision suffered an injury to her eye, and was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, officials said.

Garcia suffered minor injuries but fled the scene after the crash, officials said.

Police were able to track him down shortly after.

Garcia now faces two charges, including leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash.

It is unclear how fast the driver was going before the crash, or how he managed to pilot the vehicle into the second floor.
