Man and woman sitting inside parked vehicle shot on Long Island, gunman sought

    NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Suffolk County detectives are investigating a shooting that injured two people in West Babylon Wednesday night.

    Officials say at approximately 9:30 p.m., two people were targeted and shot in a parked vehicle on Kellum Street.

    When police officers arrived on the scene, they found a man in the driver’s seat and a woman in the back seat that had both suffered gunshot wounds.

    The victims were transported to a local hospital, where the woman is being treated for serious injuries and the man for non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.

    Another woman who was also in the vehicle at the time of the shooting was not injured, according to police.
