Man and woman shot in Brooklyn following 10 fatal shootings on Sunday across NYC

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Officials are investigating the latest incident in the string of gunfire early Monday, where one man and one woman were shot in Brooklyn.

Police said in a tweet that the shooting occurred in front of 177 Sands Street in the Vinegar Hill section.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m.

Both suffered non-life-threatening injures, officials said.

Authorities confirm 10 deaths in the 31 shooting incidents that occurred on Sunday with 50 total victims including a 15-year-old boy.

The teen was shot in the chest on Madison Ave. at E. 110th Street in East Harlem just before 6:45 p.m. and was rushed to Mt. Sinai-St. Luke’s Hospital in critical condition but was later stabilized.

An NYPD spokesman said he’s not cooperating with investigators.
