Man, 64, accused of sexually assaulting girl, 8, at NJ daycare

PASSAIC, NJ (1010 WINS) — Police arrested a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a girl at a New Jersey daycare, officials announced on Thursday.

Police arrested 64-year-old Juan Jimenez on Wednesday, July 22 and charged him with one count of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, two counts of second-degree sexual assault, and one count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child for engaging in acts of sexual penetration and sexual contact with an eight-year-old girl while he was babysitting her at a daycare located at 70 Passaic Street in Passaic.

Jimenez was released following a Tuesday pretrial detention hearing, officials said.

He is prohibited from returning to the daycare and cannot have contact with anyone under the age of 18.
