NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man accused of setting his girlfriend on fire in her Upper West Side apartment Tuesday night has been arrested.

Larry McGloster, 26, has been charged with attempted murder, arson, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

McGloster is accused of beating his 32-year-old girlfriend before setting her on fire in her 8th floor home in the Douglass Houses on Columbus Avenue.

Neighbors saw her and said it looked like something out of a horror movie, 1010 WINS' Al Jones reported. A neighbor wrapped her in a blanket and put out the flames.

The woman suffered severe trauma and burns. She remains in critical but stable condition at Harlem Hospital.
