Man, 72, victim of random midtown beating

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 72-year-old man was attacked early Monday morning in Manhattan, police say.

At about 2:20 hours, on Sixth Avenue near West 43rd Street in Midtown, a 72-year-old man was approached by a group of men and women who surrounded him.

Three of the men punched and kicked him, before fleeing, without taking anything, according to officials.

The victim effused medical attention at the scene.

Police released surveillance photos of the assailants.
