MAHWAH, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- Police made a dramatic rescue in Mahwah, pulling three kids from the Ramapo River.

The call came in just after 8 p.m. Friday night. A man was apparently off-roading with his girlfriend and kids when the truck went into the river and got stuck. The man called for help and cops got the kids out of the partially submerged truck.

"We swam out to the vehicle and had them partially exit out of the window, the open window of the vehicle, and carried them one by one to the shore," Officer Gregory Lehman said.

No one was hurt.
