NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- New York City councilman Joe Borelli is no fan of MTV's latest reality show "Made In Staten Island," having slammed it as an "embrassing" representation of the outer borough.

But his opposition to the show, which premieres Monday night, inspired the show's producer, "Mob Wives" star Karen Gravano to deliver pizza to Borelli's office Monday.

Joining Gravano on the peace mission were the show's stars, her daughter Karina Seabrook, as well as Dennie and "C.P."

"Hey @JoeBorelliNYC – let’s sit down, have a slice and talk about the real issues of Staten Island vs. my new show @statenislandmtv about kids striving to do better for themselves!" Gravano tweeted.

Responded Borelli, "Very nice! Glad you all came out to support our #CoastGuard families. Thank you for the pizza, and happy to chat over a slice."

Gravano is hoping Borelli changes his tune after watching the show, tweeting later in the day, "Hopefully after he watches the first episode he will reconsider his opinion."
