Cops say 51-year-old John Finnegan of Island Park, a teacher at the Jackson Annex Elementary School in Hempstead, was arrested for inappropriate behavior and sexual contact with a 10-year-old girl, earlier this month.

According to authorities, a further investigation turned up two other female victims.

"They were all around the same age," Nassau County Police Officer Eric Evensen said.

Finnegan was charged with sexual abuse and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He will be arraigned in first district court in Hempstead.
