It was all apparently over a parking space.

Police say 38-year-old John Harvey of Deer Park got into a heated argument with another driver at the Shop Rite on Sunrise Highway in Massapequa, and a worker tried to intervene.

As the argument escalated, police say Harvey ran back to his car, grabbed the knife, and chased the guard through the parking lot.

The guard dropped his bag and cops say Harvey picked it up, ran to his car, and sped off.

Harvey was later arrested with the guard's bag in his car. He's set for arraignment on robbery, menacing, and other offenses.
