LI mom says she killed twin daughters with her own hands

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) —A Long Island mom accused of killing her twin daughters said she did so with her own hands in court Wednesday.
Tevia Campbell, 24, is facing two counts of second-degree murder, in the deaths of her twin 2-year-old daughters Jasmine and Jaida.
Campbell's attorney is asking for a psychiatric exam.

On June 27, Campbell's mother alerted police that Campbell had told her that she was threatening to kill herself and her daughters.
Police found Campbell at Montauk County Park, asking them to shoot her.
The children were found in cardiac arrest in Campbell's minivan pulled over near the park entrance, police say.
Both were pronounced dead at a hospital soon after.
Campbell also has a 4-year-old son who is unharmed.
She faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without parole.
