NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – The lawyer for Julian Assange is contesting shocking claims that the WikiLeaks founder smeared feces on the walls of the Ecuadorian embassy in London.

Assange spent seven years in the embassy before he was arrested and dragged out by British police on Thursday after being kicked out by Ecuador.

In a Sky News interview, his lawyer Jennifer Robinson said the allegations about him smearing feces on the walls are not true.

“Ecuador has been making some pretty outrageous allegations over the past few days to justify what was an unlawful and extraordinary act in allowing British police to come inside an embassy,” Robinson said.

Assange faces an extradition request from the U.S. for alleged hacking crimes. Sweden is also considering reviving a rape investigation against him.

WikiLeaks, meanwhile, confirmed that Assange’s cat is in safe hands after people expressed worry on the internet.

“They will be reunited in freedom,” the organization tweeted.
