Large fire rages in Yonkers apartment building

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Firefighters fought a four-alarm fire Tuesday night at a six-story apartment building in Yonkers.

The fire started at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday evening on Parkview Avenue, in a building that abuts Bronxville.

About 150 people escaped the fire, without any injuries.

It took more than 100 firefighters to put out the blaze.

The fire started on the sixth story, and the roof collapsed.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
