Labor Day weekend forecast: Beautiful on Saturday, Sunday before storm threat Monday

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — New Yorkers can expect a beautiful Saturday and Sunday, followed by a chance of showers and thunderstorms Monday this Labor Day weekend.

Saturday is sunny, comfortable and beautiful, with a high near 80 under partly sunny skies, AccuWeather says.

The low drops to 63 in midtown overnight and some suburbs could even see lows in the 50s early Sunday morning. 

AccuWeather say Sunday is also a pleasant day. Conditions will be partly cloudy and the high will be 78.

A threat of stormy weather moves in on Labor Day, according to AccuWeather.

A couple showers and a thunderstorm are possible in the afternoon or evening Monday.

AccuWeather says the holiday will otherwise be humid and mostly cloudy, with a high of 79.

Tuesday and Wednesday are sunny, warm and humid. Highs will be in the low-to-mid 80s.

An afternoon shower or thunderstorm is also possible Wednesday.
