Knife-wielding man accused of slashing teen at Queens subway station sought by police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A knife-wielding man is accused of slashing teen at Queens subway station, police say.

According to officials, on November 14, at about 7 a.m., a 19-year-old boy was walking down the staircase at the Union Turnpike/Kew Gardens subway station when he inadvertently bumped into the suspect.

A verbal dispute ensued and police say the suspct produced a knife and slashed the victim on the right hand and upper left arm before fleeing in unknown direction.

The victim was taken to New York Downtown Hospital in stable condition.
