They've been searching for the guy who's been burglarizing businesses in the area.

Officers responded to a break-in at the CVS pharmacy on Hempstead Turnpike early Wednesday morning, only to find that somebody had gotten into the store by squeezing through the drive-through window.

Cops brought in a K9 unit who sniffed out a guy hiding in the ceiling.

Manuel Romero, 18, is now charged with aggravated burglary. Police say he had stolen about five bottles of cough medicine containing codeine before hiding in the ceiling.

Cops say Romero also admitted to robbing a nearby Dairy Mart and making off with about $7,000 in cash, smokes, and E-cigarettes.
