Reyes' mother Norma Sanchez was surrounded by supporters as she spoke directly to her daughter's killer.

Reyes, 24, was reported missing January 29. On Tuesday morning, a Greenwich highway crew found her body stuffed in a suitcase near the merit parkway.

Reyes made a cryptic phone call to her mother on January 28.

“She was going on about how frightened she was in that apartment,” she said.

She told her mother she felt like someone was going to kill her

"I could say so many things, but I just want justice for her," Sanchez said.

Reyes didn't show up for work at a Scarsdale Barnes & Noble. Her body was found about 14 miles from her home, she was bound at the wrists and ankles.

She was last seen by her family on Sunday, January 27. Coworkers at Barnes & Noble said she was her normal self on Monday.

The New York Times reports, a friend on Twitter said Reyes had been seen near the Greenwich train station on January 29. Calls went straight to her voicemail and text messages went unanswered .

After a tear filled memorial where friends and loved ones shouted 'justice for Val,' white balloons and balloon stars were released into the sky.
