NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Joe Biden reportedly told supporters he's running for president.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Biden reached out to at least a half-dozen supporters on Tuesday to let them know he intends to run in 2020.

It was not an official announcement and Biden hasn't publicly said he's running.

Biden asked for the supporters' help in securing contributions and major donations so he can raise millions of dollars for the race, a source told the Journal.

The former vice president and former Delaware senator reportedly told the supporters he's worried he can't quickly raise the amount of online donations other Democratic candidates like Texas Rep. Beto O'Rourke have.
