WATCH: Jeep slams into NJ elementary school entrance, driver sought

EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for the driver of a vehicle caught on video slamming into the front of a New Jersey elementary school.

Officials responded to Bowne Munro Elementary School in East Brunswick early Tuesday morning where officers saw that numerous windows on the front door were broken at the main entrance to the school was pushed.

At approximately 4:30 a.m., a dark-colored Jeep entered the school parking lot and parked near the front entrance of the school, surveillance video shows.

The jeep began to leave after waiting for approximately eight minutes but stopped, reversed, and drove forward, slamming into the school's front doors.

School employees were able to cover the damage done to the doors in order for classes to continue on normally.
