When officers arrived, they found an 8-week-old boy with “multiple broken bones,” police said.

The infant was transferred to NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center for intensive care, the NYPD said. He was in critical but stable condition as of Wednesday morning, the department said.

The NYPD’s Brooklyn Child Abuse Squad is conducting an investigation, police said. No one had been arrested in connection with the boy’s injuries as of Wednesday morning.

An ACS spokesperson on Wednesday said the agency is investigating the case in conjunction with the NYPD.

"Our top priority is protecting the safety and well-being of all children in New York City," the spokesperson said.
