Hit-and-run driver abandons vehicle and flees after striking 4 kids in the Bronx

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is on the hunt for a hit--and-run driver who abandoned his vehicle and fled after striking four children on a sidewalk in the Bronx Wednesday.

The incident took place at East 156th Street and Concourse Village West around 12:45 p.m.

The driver of the 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer lost control of his car, jumped the curb and hit the children: two 13-year-olds, a 10-year-old and an 8-year-old. The children attend a nearby summer school 

The children were taken to Lincoln Hospital with minor injuries.
