NEW YORK (1010 WINS) Police are investigating the stabbing death of a for-hire driver in the Bronx.

The driver, 27-year-old Ganiou Gandonou, was found Saturday night just after 9 p.m, police say.

He was bleeding in the driver’s seat of his car in front of 4160 Hutchinson River Parkway in Co-Op City.

The man was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center with wounds to his neck and chest.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The search is continuing for suspects.

Police say it isn’t clear if the attacker was a passenger or someone who stabbed him outside the cab.

The New York State of Federation of Taxi Drivers is offering a $3,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
