NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- It's a warm, wet and windy Thursday.

Most of the day will be breezy with rain, the heaviest rain is expected to hit the city just before noon.

A wind advisory and a flash flood watch is in effect until 6 p.m., and a coastal flood advisory is in effect until 2 p.m.

The high for Thursday is 54 degrees and the daytime low is 42 degrees. 

The forecast triggered the New York City Emergency Management Department to issue a travel advisory.

The severe weather could also bring some thunderstorms to the area.

Fog and rain also made for a messy morning commute.

At night, the chance of precipitation will be 10 percent, with winds gusting at 17 mph.
