De Blasio: ‘I haven’t been tested this whole time’

    NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Mayor Bill de Blasio has never been tested for coronavirus, he said at a briefing Wednesday.

    “No, I haven’t been tested this whole time,” de Blasio said when asked by a reporter. “Certainly from the perspective of City Hall, there is not a regular testing program. We do our best to take the precautions that we talk about with everyone. And there’s not a regular testing protocol. There’s a devotion to trying to be careful.”

    He added, "We have a skeleton staff here obviously. City Hall is usually a place that buzzes with activity, and it’s really quiet nowadays comparatively."

    “But no there has not been a need for testing on any greater level.”

    De Blasio has made several visits to hospitals in recent weeks with his wife, Chirlane McCray, according to the New York Post.
