Harassment Of Flight Attendants Needs To Be Addressed, Industry Group Says

May 14, 2018 - 1:29 pm

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Some flight attendants may be ready to join the Me Too movement.

A report released by the Association of Flight Attendants showed that last year alone 35 percent of fligth attendants were verbally abused by passengers while 18 percent say they were touched, pulled, grabbed, groped, or fondled.

There are plenty of measures in place to keep travelers safe while flying, but the association says there's nothing in place to protect flight attendants.

Some airlines such as Alaska, United, Delta, American, and a few others have taken steps, but an industry-wide standard has yet to be put in place.
