VIDEO: Gunmen shoot Uber passenger 5 times after jumping out of cars in Brooklyn

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A group of gunmen jumped out of their cars in Brooklyn and shot an Uber passenger five times in an incident that was caught on video, the NYPD said.

The gunmen got out of two cars parked on Vermont Street, between Riverdale and Livonia avenues, in East New York around 8 p.m. on Tuesday and started shooting at a 28-year-old man as he was getting into an Uber, police said. 

A dashcam video released by NYPD Chief of Detectives Rodney Harrison on Wednesday shows the incident unfold. 

The gunmen shot the man in the back five times, the NYPD said. He was taken to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition, police said.  

No one had been arrested in connection with the shooting as of Thursday morning. An investigation is ongoing.
