Polls will be closing at different times in states around the country. Here's what to look for:

8 p.m.

President Trump has been pounding the pavement in Florida where Republican Rep Ron DeSantis is hoping to maintain GOP control over the governorship. DeSantis faces Democrat Andrew Gillum in a hotly contested race.

The GOP will look to unseat Senator Claire McCaskill in Missouri. If Attorney General Josh Hawley can win the toss-up race, Republicans will be in a good position to maintain hold a majority in the Senate.

In New Jersey, incumbent Senator Bob Menendez appeared to surge in the polls late against challenger Bob Hugin. If Menendez holds onto his seat it will be despite a cloud of ethics issues that have shadowed him in recent years.

9 p.m.

There are a few to look at in New York.

Staten Island Rep Dan Donovan is hoping to hold off Democrat Max Rose, a Purple Heart awarded Afghanistan veteran. Rep Peter King has been in the House since 1993. He brings a $2,277,786 war chest to his race against Democrat challenger Grechen Shirley who sports a mere $211,783. Gov. Andrew Cuomo spent the final day of his campaign hammering President Trump for his message of 'hate and fear.' The governor faces a challenger from Marc Molinaro. New York City Public Advocate Letitia James is up against attorney Keith Wofford in a race to replace former Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.

Outside of the Big Apple, Republicans are hoping to fight off a Democrat surge in Texas where Senator Ted Cruz is battling Democratic Rep. Beto O'Rourke, and Wisconsin where Gov. Scott Walker found himself tied in a poll with Tony Evans.

10 p.m.

There isn't much love lost for President Trump in Utah where Mormon voters could give Democrats hope in the usually right-leaning Salt Lake City area. GOP Rep. Mia Love is taking on mayor Ben McAdams in Utah's 4th Congressional District.

11 p.m.

More trouble for Trump supporters in the Los Angeles area. Rep. Steve Night is facing Democrat Katie Hill in California's 25th Congressional District.
