VIDEO: Group sought for attacking, slashing man, 29, in the Bronx

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police released surveillance video on Wednesday of a group wanted for violently attacking a man in the Bronx.

Officials say at approximately 1 a.m. on May 4, the group approached a 29-year-old man in front of 938 East 163rd Street, where they knocked the victim to the ground and began to punch and kick him multiple times.

The group then slashed in the face with a glass bottle, authorities said.

One suspect poured an unknown liquid on the victim's face while laying on the sidewalk, according to police.

The victim was taken to NYC Health & Hospitals/Lincoln with bruises to his body. He was also treated for lacerations to the face.

The suspects fled in an unknown direction, officials said.
