LOS ANGELES (1010 WINS) -- It's taken more than 40 years, but it finally looks like it's going to happen: A prequel of the 1978 classic "Grease," which starred John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.

Paramount Pictures' Paramount Players division has put the project into development, according to The Hollywood Reporter

And the film's working title? "Summer Loving." It's a bit of a nod to the musical film's iconic tune, "Summer Nights," during which Travolta's Danny Zuko and Newton-John's Sandy Olsson recount a summer fling the pair had before the movie begins.

It's that fling that the prequel would focus on.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio has tapped writer John August, whose credits include "Big Fish" and "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory."
