NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man trying to break up a fight on Queens subway platform was stabbed in the chest.

The Good Samaraitan was stabbed Wednesday by a homeless man at the Forest Hills 75th Avenue Subway Station, 1010 WINS' John Montone reported.

A homeless man was arguing with a woman on the F train platform when the man in his 40s stepped in and tried to help.

That's when the homeless man plunged a knife into the Good Samaraitan's chest, Montone reported.

The man stumbled up the stairs and collapsed on the sidewalk. He is in Jamaica Hospital in serious, but stable condition.
