Good Samaritan Grabs Suspect In Attack On Elderly Women In Brooklyn

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A suspect in a vicious attack on two elderly women was apprehended on Sunday, thanks to some help from a good Samaritan.

It was an unprovoked pummeling on Pitkin Ave as two women, one 77 and the other 79-years-old, were walking Sunday morning. An apparently unhinged homeless man, identified by police as 45-year-old Andres Flores, allegedly punched one lady in the head, and turned on her friend after she hit the ground.

The suspect walked away, but an eye witness told the Daily News that a good Samaritan named Michael stepped in.

"So it was just, he didn't let him go until the police came," Jacaira Baez said.

Michael is a modest man.

"Basically I just chased him and held him down until the cops got here," he said.
