NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A three-year-old girl has been reunited with her family, after police in Brooklyn sought the public's assistance in locating the youngster's loved ones.

Brooklyn's 77th Precinct tweeted shortly after 4 p.m. a photo of the smiling youngster in the arms of a police officer, writing, "Urgent! Please help us reunite three year-old Candice Wright-White with her family. If you know her or her family call 718-735-0611 #LostChild #Missing #CrownHeights."

The Administration for Children's Services had been notified.

The girl was left outside P.S. 319 on Classon Avenue around 11 a.m.

But it seems that it was all a bit of misunderstanding: Candice's grandmother dropped of the girl at the wrong school.
