May 07, 2018 - 7:09 am

ASBURY PARK, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- Sunday night was a big night in Asbury Park -- an induction ceremony was held for the New Jersey Hall of Fame.

1010 WINS' Glenn Schuck was MC on the red carpet, and newsman John Montone was there to sweep, err wrap things up this morning.

Joe Piscopo said the event was so New Jersey he had to pay a toll to get in. Inductee Steven Van Zandt told WINS 'we did this impossible, we made New Jersey hip.'

"When we got here it was a wasteland, you know it was done," he said.

Bruce Springsteen stole the show, saying of his fellow E Streeter, 'there is no purer distillation of the Jersey ethos than Little Steven,' also he invented the male babushka.

Also inducted were disco queen Gloria Gaynor, Blondie, and Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons -- oh what a night in the great Garden State.
