LAKELAND, Fla. (1010 WINS) – A Florida man who allegedly drove while sitting on his sunroof to "praise God" told police he’d rather “go to jail than go back home” to his wife.

Leonard Olsen, 70, was pulled over by troopers after a driver allegedly witnessed him speeding at over 100 mph down a highway before slowing down so sit on his sunroof, according to WTSP.

Police say Olsen told them he wanted to turn himself in because his “wife treats me like a servant and she's the mistress and I'm tired of this sh**.”

Police say that when troopers showed Olsen video of him sitting on the sunroof, he told them the vehicle was on cruise control at the time: “The car drives itself and has a gigantic computer in it.”

“I thought it would be a nice way to praise God for a minute,” he reportedly told them. “I thought it would be nice at the time and that's what I did.”

Olsen faces a misdemeanor reckless driving charge.
