Florida man arrested after attempting to rape woman in Queens

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A Florida man was arrested Saturday night after surveillance video showed him grabbing a woman from behind in Queens on Friday.

Christopher Prusa, 34, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, faces a slew of charges including attempted rape, unlawful imprisonment, stalking, drug possession and more.

Authorities say Prusa was arrested Saturday at 6:15 p.m. are video of his attack circulated on social media.

The video shows Prusa approaching 21-year-old Judy Ling from behind as she tried to enter her apartment on the corner of 55th Street and Queens Boulevard in Woodside at around 4 a.m.

Police said he then grabbed her by her arms and tried to pull her towards him. Ling was able to break free and run away uninjured.

The victim told CBS2 News that she had been walking home after parking her car and had encountered the man near a train station a few blocks away. She said he tried to talk to her, but she avoided him.

Shortly after, he found her again and attacked while she attempted to unlock her front door.
