FDNY trucks collide in Brooklyn, injuring pedestrian

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Two FDNY trucks responding to a call in Brooklyn collided, injuring a 68-year-old pedestrian, according to officials.

The pedestrian is in serious condition.

Eleven firefighters suffered minor injuries and were treated and released.

The trucks, from Ladder 113 and Engine 249, were en route to a building on Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights at about 10 p.m.

They crashed by the corner of Rodgers Ave. and Crown St.

They were responding to a report of the odor of smoke which turned out to be unfounded.
