NEW YORK (1010 WINS) --  FDNY are trying to control a four-alarm blaze in the Fordham section of the Bronx.

Fire officials say the fire broke out around 12:45 on Friday afternoon and has torn through a laundromat on Webster Avenue.

The smoke can be seen for miles.

"We had serious fire in and throughout the building" says Chief of Fire Ops Thomas Richardson. "We have total damage to the building and a collapse of the roof. We have 150 firefighters on scene and no civilian injuries."

Assistant Chief Fred Villani reports that two firefighters sustained minor injuries but have transported to local hospitals for treatment.
