RED BANK, NJ (1010 WINS) -- More than a dozen angry fans walked out of a Wanda Sykes comedy show in Red Bank on Thursday night, after she opened with a bunch of jokes about President Trump.

The Asbury Park Press reports, that some attendees started heckling Sykes and a dozen or so walked out and began to argue with each other as well as staffers in the lobby.

Sykes was met with shouts of 'do some comedy' and 'too political.'

Sykes has been a frequent Trump critic, and stopped to ask hecklers what they expected to see at her show.

"I paid for a comedy show, not for a political venue," said Christine Delancey of Old Bridge. "First of all, you don't bash our president. I am not a Trump supporter, but he is my president, and I would never bash my president."

Plenty of people stayed and enjoyed the show, the Asbury Park Press reported.

"You knew what you were gonna get. You should have known that it wasn't going to be pro-Trump."

So far there's been no comment from the Count Basie Center For The Arts.
