De Niro, other celebs help Cuomo spread 'stay home, save lives' message

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- As the number of coronavirus cases surpass 20,000 in New York, Gov. Andrew Cuomo is getting help from some famous folks to help spread the "stay home" message.

An executive order that all non-essential workers stay home and all non-essential business close in order to control the density to help reduce the spread of coronavirus is in effect statewide.

Some famous New Yorkers took to Twitter to help spead the "stay home, save lives" word via PSAs, including Robert De Niro and Danny DeVito.

Cuomo played the messages during a Monday morning press conference.

There are 12,305 total cases of coronavirus in New York City.
