NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A Long Island town is on edge after an incident Thursday evening in which a driver and an elderly female passenger tried to lure a teen girl into a car with them.

A 14-year-old girl walking home in Great Neck was approached by a white car on Baker Hill Road, at 6:44 p.m., according to officials.

An elderly female passenger in the car opened her door while the vehicle was moving and tried to convince the victim to get into the car multiple times, offering her a ride home, police say.

The victim attempted to make a call and the car drove away.

Nassau County police put out a sketch of the woman in the passenger seat.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
