NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Closing arguments will be heard Tuesday in the federal corruption trial of former Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano, his wife, and former Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto.

The judge on Monday rejected a motion to dismiss the charges.

Mangano and Venditto are accused of taking bribes and kickbacks from Long Island businessman Harendra Singh to help him get guaranteed loans.

Mangano's wife was charged with accepting a $450,000 a year no-show job.

Singh pleaded guilty in 2016 to bribery charges. He's awaiting sentencing.
