NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – An off duty city employee was arrested Friday morning in Inwood after police say he collided with multiple vehicles.

According to reports, NYC Department of Corrections employee Brandon Dauo, 28, hit ten cars, five of them with people in them, and still wouldn't stop.

Police say the drunk driver was headed north up Sherman Avenue, when he finally collided head-on with another vehicle and police were able to detain Dauo.

"They just kept hitting cars and cars and cars, all I heard was a bang, bang, bang, bang, bang back to back." said Joseph, a resident who heard the noise from his apartment.

Duao was taken into custody and charges include reckless endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident with injury, failure to show license, refusal to take breath test and driving while intoxicated.

Some minor injuries were sustained by seven people inside the cars according to reports.
