Mexican Security Chief Avoids Grenade-Carrying Drone

July 11, 2018 - 12:59 pm

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Authorities in the Mexican state of Baja California are investigating a possible threat against the state's security chief.

They say a drone carrying two deactivated grenades landed on property he owns, but he was not present at the time.

The security official described the incident as unfortunate and said it was the result of police efforts to crack down on organized crime.

Last October, police in another state arrested two men in possession of a drone equipped with a bomb and remote controlled detonator.
