Driver stabbed by pedestrian in Sunset Park

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police are searching for a man who stabbed a driver who left his car in Brooklyn.

On Monday Oct. 21 at about 7:10 a.m., on the corner of 9th Avenue and 39th street in Sunset Park, a pedestrian crossing the street was upset after he believed a 54-year-old man driving a 1998 Mercedes nearly him, according to police.

The pedestrian began to scream obscenities at the driver.

The driver got out of the car and attempted to get a baseball bat from his trunk.

The suspect then stabbed the driver in the lower back.

The police released video of the pedestrian, seen fleeing from the scene into the 9th Avenue D train station.

The police are still searching suspect.
