Driver of fatal hit-and-run in Queens sought by police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Officials are searching for the driver in a fatal hit-and-run in Queens early Tuesday.

The accident occurred just before 2 a.m. at the intersection of Booth Memorial Avenue and College Point Boulevard in the Flushing section.

Police say a 29-year-old man was crossing the street when he was struck by a vehicle.

The victim was struck by a late model Jeep that fled the scene, officials said.

Officials pronounced the victim dead at the scene and authorities have not released his identity.
