The dog, named Alejandro, was sent on a Delta Airlines flight fom Phoenix to Newark. It traveled in a cage in a kennel in the cargo hold of the jet. The dog was checked at 6 a.m. during a stopover in Detroit and was fine. By 8:30 the dog was dead.
