NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 45-year-old man was killed and his 5-year-old daughter was injured Monday morning, after the man jumped in front of a 4 train in the Bronx while carrying the girl, police said.

The unidentified man jumped in front of an oncoming train at the Kingsbridge Road station at approximately 8 a.m.

A video obtained by 1010 WINS shows how a pair of good samaritans that jumped onto the tracks, were able to rescue the child from under the train.

The man was declared dead at the scene.

The girl was transported to Jacobi Medical Center and does not appear to have been seriously hurt -- she reportedly was not hit by the train.

Two other people were also treated, but they may have jumped onto the tracks to assist.
