NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A shocking video posted on Twitter, shows the moment a cyclist gets rear-ended by a minivan in a hit and run accident in Queens Monday night.

The footage that was captured on a GoPro shows a silver vehicle as it swerves on the bike lane and rams into the cyclist along Greenpoint Avenue near the Long Island Expressway in Long Island City.

"Today a cyclist in a bike lane (yes, that’s a bike lane) sandwiched between two driving lanes was rear-ended by a van," wrote the Jessica, the Twitter user that posted her husband's video.

The van speeds off and appears to run a red light even after a loud crash can be heard in the video.

Moments later, the video shows the cyclist on the floor groaning from pain.

The Twitter user who posted the video said the driver hit several other cars before striking the cyclist and fleeing.

The NYPD couldn’t immediately comment on the incident.
