Cough Syrup Recall: Baby medicine may contain bacteria that causes diarrhea

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Dollar General is recalling a brand of baby cough syrup that might be carrying a bacteria known to cause bouts of gastrointestinal illness.

Kingston Pharma LLC has issued a recall for Lot KL180157 of its 2-fluid ounce (59 mL) bottles of DG/health NATURALS baby Cough Syrup + Mucus. The cough syrup may be contaminated with bacillus cereus/bacillus circulan. The bacteria has the potential to cause vomiting and diarrhea, and has been fatal in some serious cases, the FDA said.
