CORONAVIRUS IN CONNECTICUT: Death toll rises by 23 to 671; nearly 14K cases statewide

    HARTFORD (1010 WINS) – Gov. Ned Lamont said Tuesday that Connecticut’s death toll had reached 671, with nearly 14,000 cases in the state.

    Lamont said 23 more people had died from the virus since Monday, bringing the death toll statewide to 671.

    The governor also reported 608 new cases for a total of 13,989 in the state.

    There were 1,779 hospitalizations and more than 45,841 people had been tested, Lamont said.

    Fairfield County has reported the most cases and deaths: 6,213 and 287, respectively. 

    New Haven County has reported 3,543 cases and 151 deaths.

    Hartford County has reported 2,370 cases and 153 deaths.
